Instagram recently. The actress asked her fans to ask anything related to 'Women, work and women at work'. Soon, she was flooded with questions and she had perfect answers to each one of them.
One of the Instagram users wrote, "Women can’t do things." To that Vidya replied, "Are you telling me or asking me." Another follower asked how her work life has changed after her marriage to
Siddharth Roy Kapur. She answered, "It did, for the better. It was 'I work' before, it became 'We work' now."
When a netizen asked why women are paid less than their male counterparts, Vidya replied, "Is sawal ka jawab mujhe bhi chahiye."
A user also asked if depending financially on their husband is wrong, the 'Kahaani' actress said, "No, Not at all, it’s her choice, but I personally feel coffee tastes better when you can afford it yourself."
When an individual questioned the actress if her husband helps with the household work, Vidya gave a classic answer; she wrote, "It’s OUR house after all!."
Vidya also gave some advice on how women should deal with the blame and guilt of prioritizing themselves. The 'Sherni' star stated that she keeps reminding herself, 'Hum ek baar jeete hain, ek baar martein hain, so it's now or never."
The actress also emphasized that there is no issue in being a homemaker. She wrote, "Being a homemaker and raising a baby is also perfect if it makes the woman feel good."
