Watch: Richa Chadha gives out ‘Free Hugs’ to people on streets of Mumbai on National Hug Day

The actress took to her Instagram handle to share a video with her fans where she is seen giving out free hugs on the occasion of National Hug Day yesterday. Dressed in white printed top, jacket and blue denims, Richa looked stunning as ever.Her cool shades and yellow shoes completed her overall chic look.

The actress was seen holding a hand painted ‘Free Hugs’ sign. She wore dark glasses as she didn’t want to be recognised but just wanted to give out hugs as a citizen and not a celebrity. Although a few fans eventually did recognise her, she gave out hugs to strangers and passersby with ease.
Speaking about the same, Richa reportedly said, “It’s important to do what one can to heal the world. I’d seen similar videos on the net and wanted to try this noble idea. I used the excuse of this ‘International Hug Day’ to spread warmth especially due to the grimness of the past few weeks. It’s harmless. You can’t deny love. I am glad that I did this because it also left me feeling very happy. I believe we are happiest when we are loving. Like Martin Luther King said, “Darkness cannot he driven out by darkness, only light can do that...”, I wanted to be the change and it was a very humbling experience to share love with complete strangers ! It’s is a wonderful idea and I want to do it every year. A hug can melt the coldest hearts.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Richa will next be seen in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s ‘Panga’ starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead roles. The film also features Jassie Gill and Neena Gupta in pivotal roles.
The film will hit the theatres on January 24, 2020. It will be locking horns with Remo D’Souza’s ‘Street Dancer 3D’ starring Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor at the box-office.
