When Freddy Daruwala lost film projects because of his looks!

He’s blessed with good looks, but Freddy Daruwala lacked the opportunities of playing a Bolywood hero. In his multiple movies, the actor essayed the role of a villain, like Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014) starring Akshay Kumar and Race 3 (2018) that featured Salman Khan.
After being in the industry for too long, the actor feels that good looking or not, he has lost a few projects because of his looks! Citing an example, Freddy told Bombay Times, “I remember last year I met a director.He had called me to discuss about a character role in his film. He saw me and told me, ‘You are very good looking for my film, because yeh character phir over power kar lega because of the looks. He said, times have changed in Bollywood, ‘Abhi kya hai, ek dum unconventional logon ka waqt aa gaya hai, jo ekdum good looking nahi hai. These days films are based in smaller towns aur tere looks kaam nahi aayenge.”
After a long time, Freddy is happy that he finally got to essay a hero in his upcoming film. The movie, a psychological thriller called The Incomplete Man stars Loveyatri actress Warina Hussain. He concludes saying, “I have stopped thinking too much about what you don’t have or what you don’t get, because it puts you in the state of anxiety. I take my looks as my assets. Industry is teaching me that you have to eventually be happy and accepting in order to lead a healthy and happy life. After all, what you want to have, there is no end to it!”
