Who’s the better hunk?

Remakes and comparisons go hand in hand and Aamir's Hindi Ghajini is no exception. With Asin being the leading lady in both the films, it's the heroes Surya and Aamir, who came under the scanner. Hyd Times finds out which hero they preferred and why.
Who’s the better hunk?
Surya is good. He is not as handsome as Aamir, but through his facial expression and acting, he convincingly portrays a man who is suffering from loss of memory. In the climax, Aamir looks good in action scenes, but when it comes to acting, Surya is much better. Even in the songs, Surya dances and looks better than Aamir. Aamir himself has accepted that Surya had done a better job.

Satish Krishnan, a BPO employee
I watched both the films and I liked Aamir, especially as an industrialist. I liked Surya too as he naturally looks like a short-term memory loss patient. The climax is better in Hindi. Swati Singh, engineering student
I like Surya as he acted very well in the movie. But Amir Khan worked harder on the script than Surya. When it comes to comparisons, Surya was the original and so Surya gets the edge."
Durga Nandini, journalist
Surya was the original and Aamir Khan tried hard to imitate him. He even praised Surya in an interview that he acted better than him. Aamir just fades in comparison. Even in the Hindi version, the songs pale when compared to the original score of Harris Jeyraj!
J Madhumathi, software programmer
Aamir looks too mature. Surya is young, looks dynamic and stylish and suited the role perfectly. Aamir had to struggle, while for Surya it was natural." Hariharan P, product advisor
Surya sizzled in the Tamil remake of Memento but Aamir, though good, failed to recreate the magic. However, you can't ignore Aamir's efforts and dedication. Abhishek Prasad, online sales executive
There's no doubt that Aamir is a good actor, but Surya had an edge over him. Surya played the role of a man who loses his memory with lan, while it looked as if Aamir was trying to outdo Surya. Deepika Mahadevan, student
