Zakir Khan says Bollywood got jealous of 'Dhurandhar': 'Bomb phoote Lyari mein, dhuaan Bandra se Juhu mein'
'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' which released in cinemas on March 19 has broken all records and now after day 18, it has become the first film from Bollywood to cross Rs 1000 crore net in India. While the sequel has surpassed the first part which released in December, it also has beaten the records of several big films in the past. Not to mention, it's become a phenomenon on social media with fans sharing memes, theories and dissecting every detail of the film. Many celebs have also showered love and appreciation however, recently, stand-up comedian Zakir Khan roasted Bollywood at an awards show and revealed that the industry actually got jealous of the Aditya Dhar directorial. Zakir said at Screen Awards 2026, "Kitne hi congratulatory post aap daal de, kitne hi story daalde, kitne hi interview mein aap bolde my favourite film, magar sach toh yeh hai ke 'Dhurandhar' se sabki jali toh hai (You may drop congratulatory messages and stories and say in interviews that it's your favourite film but the truth is everyone got jealous of 'Dhurandhar') He further jokes, "Bomb film mein foote lyari mein par dhuan udaa hai Bandra se Juhu mein (There were Bomb blasts in Lyari in the film but there was smoke between Bandra and Juhu).

'Dhurandhar 2' starred Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, among others. Many celebs from the south like Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, SS Rajamouli, were among the first to shower love on the film. At that point, netizens questioned the silence of Bollywood celebs. Later, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Anupam Kher, Vicky Kaushal appreciated the film and the performances.
