Pregnancy is a very intimate thing, especially in India where the news of one expecting is kept hidden from the outsiders by the family for a certain number of months. And our Bollywood celebrities are no exception to this. Though speculations about an actress being pregnant keeps on doing the rounds on the internet and the media, official announcement comes in only when they feel the time is right. And that announcement is undoubtedly special and unique.

Neil Nitin Mukesh is one actor who seems to be on cloud nine these days. The actor who celebrated his first wedding anniversary with Rukmini Sahay in February has shared some good news on social media. The actor was happy to share that his wife is pregnant with their first child. Taking to Instagram the actor posted a set of photos along with the caption, "Now we will be three."

One of the pictures sees hands holding a pair of baby shoes, while another had a drawing of a stork flying with a baby and the words 'to be delivered soon' written on it. As soon as the post went viral, the two were flooded with congratulatory messages from fans and friends.

According to reports, the couple is expecting their little bundle of joy to arrive in September. The daddy-to-be has already gone into overdrive and is reportedly doing all he can to keep Rukmini happy while also visiting maternity stores and shopping for his baby.

The actor who was last seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Golmaal Again' will play a negative character in the upcoming Prabhas-Shraddha Kapoor starrer 'Saaho'.

Since Aishwarya Rai got married to Abhishek Bachchan, media started questioning the duo about their family plans. Finally, the time came when the speculations of Aishwarya and Abhishek having their first child started making rounds in the media. Though initially, Aishwarya was hiding her pregnancy at various events, the time came when it became difficult for her to hide her pregnancy. That is when father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter and announced his daughter in law is pregnant. He tweeted that he is soon going to become grand-father as his daughter-in-law is expecting a baby.

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pre and post pregnancy had made the maximum number of headlines. Since the time Bebo was spotted at the airport covering her stomach with her chunari, the speculations of the actress being pregnant sparked off and it went on for months, literally.

Finally, after many interviews and statements by Kapoor and Khans, Saif Ali Khan announced the news of Kareena being pregnant in a statement sent out to the media. Saif wrote, "My wife and I would like to announce that we are expecting our first child in December. We would like to thank our well wishers for their blessings and support and also the press for their discretion and patience.”

Shilpa Shetty, who got married to businessman Raj Kundra, announced her pregnancy on one of the social media networking sites. Shilpa who experienced a miscarriage immediately after the marriage took the pleasure of announcing her pregnancy news to her fans. She tweeted, “YES! an addition to our family is our confirmation to all queries. We seek blessings from all in this very beautiful phase of our lives.”

Shilpa Shetty got married to Kundra in 2009 and they were blessed with a baby boy Viaan in the year 2012. This was the time when even Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley were pregnant with their first child.

Esha Deol enjoyed her pregnancy to the fullest. From shopping for her double ‘godh bharai’ celebrations, pregnancy photo-shoots till a babymoon to Greece, the actress enjoyed every bit of it. After sharing a few posts on her social media networking accounts, mom Hema Malini took the honour to announce her daughter’s pregnancy news. "Deols and Takhtanis are overjoyed to announce that @Esha_Deol and Bharat are expecting their first baby. We thank you all for all your good wishes," wrote Hema.

Only after Hema Malini declared the pregnancy, husband Bharat Tatkani shared his happiness of being to-be-father on Twitter.

Pregnant with twins for the second time, actress Celina Jaitly posed for a beautiful photo shoot in a bikini. The actress took to her Instagram handle to share the picture which sees her gracefully posing in a bikini on a pristine beach. Opening up about her pregnancy, Celina shared that she and businessman husband Peter Haag were “initially shocked” but were soon exhilarated when they got to know they were pregnant with twins again. The 35-year-old actress is in her second trimester and is due in October. In a recent interview, the actress also spoke about how motherhood has helped her discover a lot about herself and has made her "more patient, complete and sexier than ever".

Lisa Haydon is one of those few Bollywood actresses who without shying away from the media announced her pregnancy news. She shared a picture on Instagram flaunting her baby bump. The ‘Queen’ star tied the knot with her businessman beau Dino Lalvani in an intimate low-key ceremony in the year 2016 and news of her being pregnant sparked off immediately after their marriage. Lisa took to Instagram to post a picture of her posing in a bikini while caressing her baby bump. She shared the picture with a caption that read, “Humble beginnings.”
