Bollywood celebs congratulate Riteish Deshmukh-Genelia

Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh sure have had a wonderful Christmas this year, what with the arrival of their newborn baby whom they have named Riaan. Confirming the same, Genelia posted the picture of Riaan dressed in red and white with a Santa cap. She also tweeted, "Most special Xmas of my life." And dad Riteish retweeted the picture adding, "Ho Ho Ho." The Santa sure visited the Deshmukhs with the stork this year for their son seems to be the best gift they ever received.

Riteish Deshmukh shared his son Riaan's photo for the first time with his fans on Instagram. "RIAAN - the youngest DESHMUKH," wrote Riteish while sharing the picture. The couple held the naming ceremony of their first child on Saturday. "Blessed to have the entire family under one roof- for the 'Barsa' (naming ceremony) of my lil one," tweeted Genelia. In a traditional Maharashtrian naming ceremony called 'Barsa,' the entire Deshmukh family and Genelia's parents gathered to name their newest member. The little one has been named Riaan. Tweeting about the same, Riteish wrote, "Our Son 'RIAAN RITEISH DESHMUKH'." [sic] Genelia was discharged from the hospital on November 29 after having delivered the baby on November 25.

Genelia, who was discharged from the hospital on November 29 also took to Twitter to thank all her fans who wished them. "Thank u all for all the wishes on the birth of Son.. @Riteishd n me couldn't thank ul enough for being w us all thru this period..," [sic] she wrote on Twitter. She also expressed on the micro-blogging site that the experience of motherhood is 'magical.'

Riteish and Genelia are undoubtedly the cutest couple of B-town but Riteish's gesture just makes it even more so. According to a report in Hindustan Times, the actor is taking a paternity leave. In the report, a source has been quoted as saying that Riteish has been by his wife's side ever since she was admitted to the hospital and was planning to resume shooting only after two weeks. The actor shared an image of their dog, Flash, waiting eagerly by the elevator and wrote, "FLASH is waiting for mommy @geneliad to come back home."
The couple is the newest entrant to B-town's parents club and here's what the industry had to say at the new arrival.

Riteish took to Twitter to share the good news and posted: "It's a BBBOOOOYYYYYY!!!!!!!!" Bollywood celebs too expressed their excitement at the new arrival on Twitter. Abhishek Bachchan tweeted saying, "Congratulations @Riteishd and @geneliad on the arrival of the greatest gift ever. Welcome to the parents club!!"

Riteish and Genelia had reportedly been dating since 2003 and tied the knot in 2012. They are termed the cutest couple in Bollywood. Karan Johar tweeted, "And humongous congratulations to @Riteishd and @geneliad on being proud parents to a baby boy!!!!! Love you lots!!!!!" Nikhil Dwivedi, who celebrates his birthday on 25th November was overwhelmed and tweeted saying, "Riteishd congratulations buddy. What super news n he shares his b'day with me!"

Tusshar Kapoor and Riteish share an amazing camaraderie and their chemistry in films like Kya Kool Hai Hum has been loved by everyone. Tusshar was excited about the news and tweeted saying, "Many congrats to papa @Riteishd & mummy @geneliad on this awesome piece of news! I think I predicted right, the other day!" Dia Mirza, who recently tied the knot with Sahil Sangha too tweeted saying, "Congratulations @Riteishd and @geneliad! God bless your bundle of joy :)"

Riteish shares a very good rapport with the Khan family and an over-excited Arbaaz Khan took over Twitter to express his happiness. The couple was recently seen attending Arpita Khan's wedding reception in Mumbai. Salman's sister Arpita too couldn't resist and expressed her desire to see the little one in her tweet that read, "@Riteishd @geneliad Congratulations! Can't wait to see the lil one, lots of love to you'll." Versatile actor Farhan Akhtar tweeted saying, "@geneliad @Riteishd Congratulations to you both. Riteish and Genelia have worked in films like Tujhe Meri Kasam and Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. Lara Dutta, who has shared screen space with Riteish tweeted saying, "Heartiest congratulations to my dearest @Riteishd and new mama @geneliad!! Welcome to the best time in ur life!!!"
