Story: Sex addicts, Sunny Kele (Tusshar) and Aditya Chotia (Vir Das) cannot get ‘enough of it’. When the two of them fall for identical twins, Lily and Laila Lele, their lives become an adventure.

Review: Right away one should tell you that Mastizaade is the result of a fractured script. Word in the trade circles is that this so-called adult comedy was reportedly assaulted by the CBFC! So what you see, in the current running time of less than two hours, is a disjointed mishmash of some stupid sex jokes, tacky in-house product placement clips, Sunny Leone’s tasteful skin show and two blundering idiots – Tusshar and Vir. Both actors should have realised that they have committed professional hara-kiri by being in here.

Milap Zaveri, who is credited as the writer-director here, is the guy who has written at least half-way funny comedies like Grand Masti, etc. and one would have certainly imagined that he would have saved a page for his own directorial venture. But no! Zaveri takes his brain-dead audience for granted and unmindfully dishes out trite, leaving you angry and anguished.

Honestly, this film looks like a better version of last week’s Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3 because it has Sunny instead of Mandana Karimi. Otherwise, it is just as blah. No attempt is made at a screenplay; no one attempts to act either.

The lead players go from Mumbai to Pattaya, chasing one another in various states of dress and undress and mouth double-meaning dialogue. When they run out of those, they substitute it with crass hand gestures to keep proceedings moving on screen. Everything from a donkey’s b**** to a horse’s backside is used for tasteless jokes. Incidentally, the hero of this film is the humble banana! People are named after it, eating it or gesticulating with it.

Every 20 minutes, a song breaks. Sunny, who is on familiar territory, looks gorgeous as she parades in an assortment of bikinis. She has also mastered the Bollywood song-dance routine and gracefully sashays to Rom Rom Romantic and Hor Nach. Bollywood believes that if you have Sunny in a film, you do not need a script.
Summary / Analysis

Spoiler alert! Please do not read the following plot summary if you have not seen the film.
Plot summary

Tusshar(Sunny) and Vir(Aditya) want some adventure in their lives. They also want to taste the pleasures of the skin. So they ask Riteish Deshmukh who is surrounded by beauties at all times the secret.

Riteish tells them how they must develop a sexray--something that allows them to not look at girls hearts but something even deeper. The boys then start having fun. Their objective in life is simple. They do not want marriage, they want sex. They want fun.
One day, Sunny and Aditya go into a sex rehab centre that is run by Lily and Laila Lele.

Over here the tables are turned. Sunny falls for Laila and Aditya for Lily, the identical twins. Now Laila is the sort who doesn't believe in the magic words - I love you. Instead she wants to only hear the words-- Tu de de.

Lily is engaged to Shaad Randhawa who is a cripple. He is in a chair and cannot 'perform'. So she hatches a plan with Aditya to romance him and see if her fiancee Shaad can actually get his `member' to rise.

The foursome lands in Pattaya where the twins' father Asrani runs a resort. Their brother Suresh Menon is a homosexual and he too falls for Sunny. Shaad also has a twin in Bangkok who is normal and popular with the ladies.

Naturally hell breaks loose because there are two sets of twins, one homosexual, one father who loves guns and Sunny and Aditya who are caught in the middle of this mayhem.

Trivia & Goofs

TRIVIA

1. For the first time Sunny plays a bespectacled shy and conservative woman (Lily), a sharp contrast to her other character Laila, a bombshell.

2. Sunny also shows her sanskari avatar when a sari-clad Lily is required to perform aarti with Tusshar’s and Vir’s characters mourning in the background.

3. Sunny reportedly had some reservations about a couple of lines and scenes in the film. Milap understood her predicament and made appropriate changes.

4. The shooting for this film was wrapped up in December 2014. But it took the producers over six months to get a Censor Certificate.

5. When the makers first approached the Censor Board, they were refused a certificate for extensive explicit content.

6. Reportedly, the producers volunteered 349 cuts and the Censor Board suggested 32 more. Only after they were complied with, that the movie was issued an A certificate.

7. Ironical as it may seem, Sunny has said in an interview that she relates more to the seedhi-saadi Lily as compared to the sexy Laila.

8. Sunny’s Babydoll number from Ragini MMS 2 has been recreated as a romantic and at the same time a devotional track as she sings it to Tusshar’s statue.

9. Director Milap, who had earlier played a small role of a cameraman in his debut Jaane Kahaan Se Aayi Hai, also makes a cameo in this adult comedy, as a naughty hotel guest awed by Laila’s hotness.

10. This is Sunny Leone’s second film after ‘Ek Paheli Leela,’ where she will be seen playing a double role.
