For a city so used to putting up with annoying traffic on its clogged streets, the gig-hopping Mumbaikar will instantly relate to this Canadian indie rock band for its name alone. Two Hours Traffic - the decade-old quartet from Canada’s Charlottetown whose name comes from a line in the prologue to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet - will hit the stage at Hard Rock Café tonight with their grooving pop-rock fare.
Other than releasing three studio albums - their last being Territory in 2009 - the band’s hook-laden music has been used in several TV shows including Gossip Girl, The OC, One Tree Hill and Castle.
Sparkling with a bunch of sunny pop gems, Territory takes off from where their second album Little Jabs left and explores heavier themes like alcohol abuse, ambivalence in relationships and grey areas of religious belief.
