Giving the city a sleepless night was DJ Zombi. On a recent Friday evening, revellers at Venom had a blast as the Israel-based DJ played old skool, freestyle, electric funk, new wave and classic club tracks.
Zombi, who was delighted to see the Indian crowd opening up to electronic music, said: “This is my first visit to Kolkata and it’s great to see the way people have accepted dance music,” he said.

Talking about the party scene back home, Zombi elaborated that people in Israel go out everyday of the week. “From open-air to underground — there are parties of every kind,” said the DJ, who is thoroughly impressed with the music churned out by India. “Indian films are big in Israel. Personally, I had watched ‘Disco Dancer’ and loved the kind of music,” Zombi said, before getting back to the console.
