Ghazal singer Najmi Khan recently performed to an audience of senior police officials at the raising day of the Northern Sector of CRPF. “Such occasions are essential to boost the morale of the force. This is an occasion to compliment them, and the romance in the weather has only added to it,” said Dilip Trivedi, DG, CRPF. “The CRPF works really hard throughout the year. This is a nice way to meet and celebrate,” said Jayanta Narayan Choudhury, DG, NSG. “When such senior officers meet on an occasion like this, important decisions can be taken without stress!” added a laughing Ajit Kulshreshtha, IG, RAF.
After the performance, Khan said,
“Aaj kal ka jo daur hai, us mein, mujhe lagta hai ki Sufi music peak
par hai. Bahut tassali mili mujhe aaj yahan perform
karke. Aam janta – jo non-Muslim log hain – un tak Sufi music
nahin pahunch paa raha tha. Ise sab tak pahunchane ka, itna popular
banane ka shrey main doonga Nusrat Fateh Ali Khanji
aur Bollywood
ko. Bollywood
ne sabse bade mass
tak is ko pahunchaya hai. Main apne aap ko khushnaseeb samajhta hoon iss daur ka hissa hone ke liye.”
