Akriti Kakar: It’s been 40 days I’ve been at home and encouraging everyone to do the same

Bollywood singer and musician Akriti Kakar has not stepped out of her family home for over 40 days now. But, her determination to stay safe and stay indoors remains just as strong.
Recently, in an email interaction with Bombay Times, the singer talked about the precautionary measures she is taking to keep COVID-19 at bay and explains why following government-imposed directives is an absolute must.
“The least we can do is adhere to the government and stick to strictly what they’re instructed us to do. Stay at home. Today as I write, it’s been 40 days I’ve been at home and very aggressively encouraging everyone I know to do the same. When any grocery delivery comes, I wear gloves and mask and step down in my building to take it and I keep it in the dry utility area of my home overnight. And then use it after properly washing all packets. Meanwhile we wash our hands more than often even while I’m at home,” Akriti told us.
