Bennys a writer as well!

Newbie singer Benny Dayal of Kerala considers it a miracle that he got a chance to start his career with music maestro A.R.Rahman. With hit numbers in Bollywood like Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gayi (Ghajini), Rehna Tu (Delhi-6), Tarkeebein and Dum Dum (Band Baaja Baraat) and Pappu Can't Dance Saala and Nazrein Milana (Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na) to his credit and a Filmfare Award, it was a dream come true for Benny.With his latest song Choomantar of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan fast climbing the charts, Benny is surely raring to go in Bollywood as well!
Talking about his experience of participating in and singing along with big musicians in Mtv's Coke Studio, he says, "The experience was superb. The platform is great where any musician can fly musically. There are no situations given to you. There is no commerciality. The director is cool and it was a great feeling."
Benny has also performed live with his band S5 in a number of colleges down South. When we ask Benny about what he does in his free time, he says, "I write songs in English. I have written songs in English, Hindi and Tamil, which we play live with the band. We rearrange existing stuff. We play retro numbers with electric guitar." And what does he enjoy doing other than music? He replies, "I am a tremendous foodie. I love to eat, not live to eat!" He laughs and adds, "And I love sleeping." Well, with a melodious voice like his, we are indeed waiting to hear more from this wonderful singer.
