Darshan Raval: Lockdown gave me the opportunity to work on beautiful melodies

The last seven months of the global pandemic and lockdown has seen many singers and musicians come up with a lot of songs. And popular singer Darshan Raval has made the most of the the time too, creatively.
In an interview with Bombay Times Darshan says, “Since the last one and a half years I had been always complaining that I want to do music in a different way.I was doing music, I was doing concerts but I felt that I wasn’t doing enough music in the studio. So I kept complaining to everyone. But finally during the lockdown I got the opportunity to create music. Bohot sari khoobsurat melody pe kaam kar paya iss lockdown mein. I could complete my album, jo saalo se I had been planning and dreaming of making. And the lockdown gave me the time to complete my album and in this process I realised mein kitna music se pyar karta hun aur woh realisation mujeh phir se hua that why I have been doing this for so many years. Every morning I get up passionately. I found my love for music back again during the lockdown.”
In the last few months, Darshan has worked on his dream project and created his first album. “‘Judaiyaan’ has been very special of course. It is my first album, so all the songs have been very special for me and very close to my heart. Bohot zyada mehnat to karte hi hain, harr gaane mein karte hain, lekin iss mein bohot hi zyada dil lagaya hain harr gaane mein. Bohot zyada mann se banaya hain aur jaisa mein apne fans se kehta hun, mere fans ke liye yeh customized album hai. When they will listen to the entire album they will come to know how special it is for them. Not only me, the entire team, the lyrics writers of the songs, sabne bohot accha kaam kiya hain. I have collaborated with all the music producers Daniel, Anmol, Siddharth. It’s been a great journey. Kaafi mahino se hum kaam bhi kar rahe the and I have really given a lot in the album. We all are going through ‘Judaiyaan’ with something or somebody.”
Its every young artiste’s dream to come out with an album and during the lockdown Darshan had enough time to pour his thoughts into music. The singer-composer is living his dream. He says, “I always thought of doing an album, aur yeh bohot badi khwaish thi meri ki mein album karu. For an album, one needs to bring all their personal experiences, feelings and thoughts together as it basically is all about creating a story through the tracks. I also believe one needs to have a certain level of maturity before taking the leap. This I felt was the right time to work on an album and everything fell into place. I just want to enjoy and be in this moment where I enjoy the process of the album.”
