Delhi shining in B-wood
The number of Bollywood exports from Delhi has been growing exponentially, and among the latest ones is lyricist Protiqe Mojoomdar. He’s making his debut with the film “I Am Kalam”, in which he’s penned the lyrics for the song “Zindagi Aisi Waisi”.
Says this DU graduate, “The film gave me an opportunity to work with director Nila Madhab Panda, and musician Papon.

Papon has the uncanny ability to breathe more meaning into the words I write, and Nila of course is a very discerning director. It’s a combination very few people get during their initial phases in the industry, and I’m glad to have learnt from them, and contributed to such an acclaimed film.”
Protiqe says he’s been dabbling as a lyricist and musician since his college days, and gradually, over the years, turned it into a passion. Besides writing for some commercial assignments, he’s also done a few short films. He also has a band called A Boat; Protiqe is its lead vocalist and songwriter.
