Singer Indeep Bakshi is looking for a space for his new music studio, and he wants to buy it in Gurgaon. The Delhi boy stayed in Gurgaon for a year for an internship during his graduation, and thinks Gurgaon is one of the best places to live in in the NCR. "I was doing an interior designing course and for my internship, I had to travel to Gurgaon daily.
My home is in west Delhi and commuting to Gurgaon every day was not possible for me, so I rented an apartment near Galleria Market. This was around the year 2010. I explored Gurgaon during my year-long stay there," says the 'Saturday Saturday' singer.
He added, "People used to say that Gurgaon is not safe, but while I was staying there, I felt Gurgaon was safer than Delhi. I would roam around the city at night and see BPO employees having snacks and tea till late night. On so many occasions, I have had omelettes and noodles at midnight from the food trucks and thellas in Cyber City," he adds.
The reason Indeep wants to set up his studio in Gurgaon is that he thinks the city has developed beautifully. "I do a lot of shows in Dubai and I feel Gurgaon is like a mini-Dubai, with its swanky infrastructure. I have performed here at many clubs. Cyber Hub is a beautiful place to hang out at, and so is Kingdom of Dreams. Unlike Delhiites, who like to party every day, Gurgaonwallahs eagerly look forward to the weekend to let their hair down (because of the citys corporate culture). They are very serious about having fun on Saturdays and Sundays," he says.
