Kashmir Concert in Srinagar

The German Embassy in New Delhi will host an unique concert in the heart of Kashmir in Srinagar on 7th September titled “The ‘Kashmir Concert’ – Ehsaas – e –Kashmir”. The event will be hosted at the Shalimar Bagh, Mughal Gardens in Srinagar. Maestro Zubin Mehta, international icon of classical music, will conduct the “Bayerische Staatsorchester” (Bavarian State Orchestra) along with Andreas Oettl on trumpet and Julian Rachlin on the violin.
According to Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany in India, Michael Steiner, "This concert is for the people of Kashmir. Beethoven, Haydn and Tchaikovsky, played by a world acclaimed maestro and one of the best orchestras of the world in one of the most enchanting places in the world. This is a wonderful cultural tribute to Kashmir and its warm-hearted and hospitable people. Music is a universal language. With the magical power of music, crossing geographical, political and cultural borders, we want to reach the hearts of the Kashmiris with a message of hope and encouragement. "Ehsaas-e-Kashmir" – Feelings for Kashmir will showcase Zubin Mehta and the Bavarian State Orchestra.
