Palak Muchhal shared this throwback photo with the late singer
Says Palak, “Lata ji’s passing away is a loss, which is irreparable. For me, she embodied Maa Saraswati. She has left us today but she is going to live on with us, her music is going to live on, her legacy is going to live on. It will inspire so many generations to come just as it has inspired my generation." She adds, "I remember meeting her when I was young. She got to know about my charity work and told me, ‘Beti tum, abhi chhoti ho lekin jab ek badi gaayika ban jaogi, tab bhi apne iss karya ko jaari rakhna. Samaj seva ke karya ko jari rakhna, kyunki tum jo yeh kar rahi ho asli mayne mein yahi sangeet ki seva hai’. Those are still lingering in my ears and inspiring me. She is here with me and I fail to believe she is not with us anymore.”
