#MeToo movement: Salim-Sulaiman first guests to replace Anu Malik on a reality show

Following the allegations of sexual harassment against music composer Anu Malik, Sony Entertainment Television asked the singer to step down as the judge of their reality show.


The makers even released a statement which read as "The show will continue according to its planned schedule and we will invite some of the biggest names in Indian music as guests to join Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar to judge the extraordinary talent of Indian Idol season 10." The decision came after several singers which even included Sona Mohapatra and Shweta Pandit accused Malik of sexual harassment.


According to the latest reports, Salim and Sulaiman Merchant have been roped in to fill in the vacant shoes of Malik and they would be the first celebrity guests on the show.


Meanwhile, Malik told PTI, "I, Anu Malik, have decided to take a break from Indian Idol as I am currently unable to focus on my work on the show. The channel has been kind to agree for the same. Thank you."
