Singer Palak Muchhal, who is still basking in the glory of last year’s chart busting numbers in Aashiqui 2, has another reason to rejoice. Her latest song ‘Photocopy’ from Salman Khan’s ‘Jai Ho’ has just released and is already created quite a buzz among the masses.

I am still getting calls from my friends from the music industry saying that we never thought you could sing like this too.”

Before Palak gained acclaim with Aashiqui 2, it turns out it was Salman Khan who helped her begin. The singer first sang for Lapata in Yash Raj Films’ Ek Tha Tiger.
Says Palak, “I bagged a YRF film only because of Salman sir who recommended my name to Aditya Chopra. And it was Salman Sir again who suggested my name to Sajid-Wajidji for Jai Ho,” reveals the 21-year-old, who had a great last year as she went on to record as many as 108 songs, some of which will be seen in forthcoming films like Karle Pyaar Karle, Traffic, Ishqueria, Shilpa Shetty’s Dishkiyaaoon among others.
“2013 has been a fantastic year for me as far as playback singing is concerned and all thanks to that I am hoping for a great 2014 as well for all my songs release this year. I really hope people love the numbers I have sung, added Palak.
