According to South Korean media, among nine tracks from the group's third mini-album called 'The Most Beautiful Moment In Life Pt.1', 'DOPE' surpassed 800 million. This marks 'DOPE' as the ninth music video by BTS to hit this mark. Other great hits from the same elite group are 'DNA', 'Boy With Luv', 'Dynamite', 'Blood Sweat & Tears', 'Fake Love', 'MIC Drop' (Steve Aoki Remix), 'IDOL', and 'Butter'. Until the time of the report, 'DOPE' had managed to gain 800,078,351 views with 9.3 million likes on the same site. The electronic hip-hop track is characterized by vibrant saxophone melodies, and it's one of BTS' most unique tracks in their discography. This song also marks a turning point in their career as it became their first video to surpass 100 million views back in 2016. A Japanese version of the track was included in their second Japanese studio album, 'Youth'.

The members of BTS are currently on hiatus due to fulfilling the mandatory military service requirements in South Korea. The oldest of the group members, Jin, began his duty in December 2022. Then, there was J-Hope. He has also been discharged after performing his duties since both of them completed their respective duties. While Jin was discharged in June 2024, J-Hope was discharged mid-October. The other five will be discharged until June 2025. Some of them include RM, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

Since his discharge, Jin dropped his first solo single album called 'Happy', as well as featuring in many other variety shows, though it is already months since the comeback of J-Hope who disappeared into public view as he completed military service.

While fans await for the comeback of BTS, all hopes have once again resurged with speculation that the K-pop band would reunite for new music only after every individual member would have fulfilled their mandatory service.

The last album that has been released from BTS was in 2022. There is rampant speculation that they may come up with another comeback album and this long-awaited world tour by as early as 2026. For the global fans of BTS, ARMY, there is already talk concerning the new chapter of BTS. Although they have a break, BTS proves its lasting impact on the global music scenes and with that during 'DOPE's 800 million views it increases their legendary status.
