While netizens and fans of the group have been having mixed debates about how they wasted their time and efforts, others have been saying that they were mistreated. Beyond all of that, even a popular American singer came forward with her support for the K-pop group, leaving everyone surprised.

Kesha extends her support for NJZ after the court hearing

On October 30, as reported by various news outlets, NJZ lost its legal battle against its management agency. The Seoul Central District Court judge Jeong Hoe Il ruled that the contracts between the two parties involved were completely valid, and that there had been no breach in the terms discussed in the documents.The court ruling went viral after being shared online. A lot of fans and netizens extended their support for the five members of the group. This list of supporters also included the pop sensation singer Kesha as well. The singer took to her social media account soon after to share her support for the K-pop girl group which left a lot of fans and netizens in a state of surprise. She posted the phrase "My Heart is with you New Jeans."
While some fans praised the artist, her comments about the idol group was faced with massive backlash.One person commented "The concept of your heart being with a group who’s fighting in court to bring back a s*xual assault apologist and p*dophile into their company", while another stated "thank you kesha for siding with artists who practically ruined their career for a pedophile CEO, thank you for supporting artists who publicly bullied a second group of young girls for more than a year, you're far too kind".Kesha went through a similar legal battle of her own as well with music producer Dr Luke over the rights of her own songs. The case was ruled against her in 2016, which at the time had garnered support from a lot of idols as well, including Lady Gaga.
