Aadi Purana

After completing studies, a studious Aditya lands a job with an MNC through campus placement, but his biggest grouse is that he doesn't have a girlfriend.

Aditya hails from Udupi and is a teetotaller. He hangs out with his friends and enjoys whatever he does in his life, without worrying much about what his peers are doing. Since he is a good worker, he gets accolades at office. Sensing that Aditya needs a life partner, his father fixes his wedding. But even after getting married, Aditya's desire to consummate it remain a distant dream, thanks to rituals and certain circumstances. He tries every trick in the book, but fails. Aditya even takes his friends suggestion, but nothing seems to work. Will he able to succeed in his mission? Well, that is revealed only in the climax (pun not intended).

Adi Purna is a breezy romantic comedy that is filled with double entendres. The movie has punchy dialogues that are humourous, but good only in patches. The story doesn't go beyond Aditya's life, which gets limited to dating a girl and getting married, which never gives impetus to the flagging story line, making it a tedious watch.

A broader subject that touches upon today's shallow relationships could have made a better impact. Actor Rangayana Raghu's philosophical dialogues regarding love, relationships and marriage are one of highlights of the movie. Newbies Shashank K, Ahalya Suresh and Moksha Kushal have delivered their best.
