Love In Mandya

Love blooms in a remote village in Mandya. The cupid-stricken telephone operator goes all out to win the heart of his love interest. But when they bond together, as expected, parents play the villain. And an unexpected murder gives the movie a violent twist too.

Karna (Neenasam Satheesh) falls in love with Sushma (Sindhu Loknath) of the same village. When her parents ask her to marry an engineer, Sushma and Karna decide to elope. The help comes from Basappa, another cable operator. He sends them to Hosur to meet Periyannavar (Rejendra Karanth), a local cable operator. Karna and Sushma are accompanied by Shille, a boy who works with Karna. Periyannavar offers Karna a job. The twist comes when Shille is found murdered in mysterious circumstances.

Though the story line sounds interesting, Love in Mandya, the debut endeavour of lyricist Arasu Anthare, falls flat due to poor narration. In many times, bad editing plays the villain.

Neenasam Satheesh and Sindhu perform their roles to perfection. Manju as Shille gives the much-needed relief in his comedy avatar. Anoop Seelin offers some melodious tunes. Visuals by Sugnan are good.
