Tortoise: The Tale of Murders

Tortoise: The Tale of Murders follows Vicky (Suraj Shetty), an efficient and sharp TV reporter known for his knack for uncovering hidden truths. One day, his boss (Krishna Hebbale) hands him a confidential file containing details about five individuals and instructs him to conduct a sting operation, keeping a close watch on their lives.

The file introduces a range of intriguing characters —

·Ranganna, a humble school cleaner who works at the same school as his beloved daughter, wants to stay close to her.
·Mylamma, a tough moneylender who is ruthless toward defaulters yet surprisingly kind to those genuinely in need.
·A young couple, deeply in love, who can’t imagine life apart. The boy is preparing for government exams while his girlfriend, employed at a petrol bunk, stands by him through every struggle.
·Battery Seena, a notorious petty thief known for his lightning-fast skills in stealing everything from mobile phones to gold chains.
·Martin, a drug-addicted college student who’s become a menace to everyone around him.



As Vicky begins tailing and observing these individuals, we also get a glimpse into his personal life and his caring girlfriend, Chaitra, a nurse. Everything seems ordinary until a shocking series of murders turns the story upside down. A young woman kills her lover, and in a tragic twist, Ranganna murders his own daughter, whom he cherished deeply.



The shocking events push Vicky into a frantic investigation. With the help of a dedicated police officer (Shankar Ganesh), he dives deeper into the mystery, uncovering a chilling trail that leads to secret medical experiments, a revelation that ties back intriguingly to the film’s title, Tortoise.



The film maintains a gripping pace from start to finish, keeping viewers guessing with its unpredictable twists. However, it’s not without flaws, a few cliched moments, inconsistent performances, and some technical shortcomings slightly dampen the overall impact. Still, the story’s suspense-driven narrative makes it an engaging watch.
