Jana Gana Mana Movie Review

Jhansi is a young and ambitious IPS officer and she takes on a case that requires her to interrogate and fight one of the most dreaded criminals in Madikeri. While Jhansi can take on any problem, this particular case proves to have a few obstacles.

Ayesha has the tag Lady Bruce Lee since her first film and this film doesn't disappoint action fans. The actress is shown doing ample fight sequences which are a treat for audiences who love films of the genre. The story, though short in length, could have been fleshed out better as it has some of the usual commercial elements like comic tracks with unnecessary gags that have double entendre.

The film begins with a crime and then Jhansi is introduced with a lot of praises and 'build up'. She then takes on a case that no man is 'man enough' to take on in the police force and we get to see some good stunts and a little bit of romance too, before she has her first encounter with the baddie. There begins then a cat-and-mouse game between her and the villain.

The film sees Ayesha making stark improvement as a performer. She excels in her fight sequences, as always. Ravi Kale gives another good performance. One only hoped that the story was more tightly edited and had that edgy pace required for an action drama like this. But, if you're a fan of women kicking everyone's rear sides on screen, you can still opt for this one.
