Star 121 Hash Movie Review

A bunch of friends are out for some fun when they accidentally end up knocking someone on the road in the outskirts of the city. As time passes by, eerie happenings makes them doubt that something is amiss. Who is taking revenge becomes their biggest fear.

This film tries to follow the youthful suspense thriller genre that has become quite popular among Kannada filmmakers. The formula is simple — a bunch of urban youngsters in the outskirts, an accident that causes panic and an interesting premise for many thrills set up by the mishap. Sadly, the performances are rather amateur and the treatment is shoddy to keep one hooked through the course of the proceedings.

The film has a lot of cliches. The group of friends has the one conscientious person, who becomes the scapegoat for the revenge plot. There is the standard love story with cheesy dialogues and the one friend who always reacts hastily in all situations. There are also the usual comic tropes in a thriller of spooky-looking characters, and also the mandatory comedians having a love story (if we can call it that) of their own.

This film has some thrills that can entice the front benchers or those out for a fright-filled date with their partner, but the screenplay is shabbily put together and the editing is equally jagged. Watch it on your own accord.
