Rajkumar's 'Shankar Guru' is one terrific blockbuster smashing box office and creating unbeatable records. The film was red hot in remake rights. The film was remade in Telugu as Kumara Raja, in Tamil as 'Tirisoolam' and in Hindi as Mahaan. Only in the Tamil version with Sivaji, the magic was repeated.

'Antha' was all over a sensation during the release making Ambareesh a big star who didn't look back after 'Antha'. When remade in Hindi as Meri Awaz Sunoo, in Telugu as Antham Kaadidhi Aarambham and in Tamil as Thyagi, all the versions created controversies but didn't repeat the magic like the Kannada version did.
