Shanvi Srivastava is elated - the actor is set to work on a film with filmmaker
Nagathihalli Chandrashekhar, with a role based on a female-centric novel.
The yet-to-be titled film is a tribute to Nagathihalli’s iconic film America America which clocks 25 years this year.
“The film is close to Nagathi sir’s heart, and he wanted to celebrate it in a special way (with this new film),” reveals Shanvi.
The actor who loves her commercial films is excited about this unique meaty role, “Nagathihalli sir has given me a powerful character based on the work of a writer known for her forthright prose. I’m not allowed to disclose the details of the book yet, but the narration left a huge impact on me,” shares Shanvi, adding that the film will have all the hallmarks of a Nagathihalli film.
A two faceted portrayal, Shanvi essays a fun girl on campus, and a mature working professional who needs to live life on her own terms. “The movie will be majorly shot in Seattle. I’m preparing for the role while the team is busy with pre-production,” she shares.
“It is the seventh association of music composer
Mano Murthy with Nagathi sir. I’m happy to be working with such senior members in the fraternity,” Shanvi concludes.
