Actor-director Hemanth Hegde’s next, Naani Maduve Prasanga, deals with the plight of farmers in North Canara who are unable to find brides.
“Naani... is a satirical take on this whole bride-hunting situation. Many men from my native marry girls from other states because they are unable to find one here. This is a serious problem as girls do not find boys from the farming background ‘glamorous’. That’s why I chose this storyline, so I can address a serious subject, while also including comedy,” Hemanth shares. The film has over 35 artistes, with actors Shruthi Nandish, Shreya Vasanth and Gitanjali Mangal playing the female leads.
