Aake is like a Hollywood film, says executive producer Yogish Dwarakish

Aake is an extension of the belief and the thought process that executive producer Yogish Dwarakish Bungale has for the Kannada film industry. The film, produced by KS Films with Nakshatra Productions, UK slated for a release this Friday, will be a milestone, he gushes.
Aake is a special film
Yogish says that the film has a novel script which the Kannada audience has not witnessed yet.“The way the story narrates, all the work done is very different for what has been done till date. Aake will take the Kannada film industry to a whole new level,” says Yogish. Stressing about the fact on how hard the entire team has worked, Yogish says that the technical quality of the film matches Hollywood standards. “Except for the language, the production quality and everything else resembles a Hollywood film,” he says.
On working with Chaitanya, Sharmiela and Chiranjeevi
“I have worked with KM Chaitanya and Chiranjeevi Sarja previously for the film Aatagara. We were a team who wanted to do different cinema. There are three motives that I have when I do a film — interesting, entertaining and engaging — and Chaitanya is someone who delivers all that. For me, it wasn’t a reunion with Chaitanya and Chiranjeevi, it was a continuation. As for Sharmiela Mandre, she is family. I have known her for so long as our families know each other. So it was like working with family, which is good.
Indo-Brit venture very exciting
There are several British technicians who are a part of the film and working with them was a good experience, adds Yogish. “It was pretty good and interesting to work with them. They are so punctual and everything is planned to the T. If something goes wrong, they find it very difficult. We (Indians), on the other hand, are very flexible and can manage with few changes in the plan,” says Yogish.
On choosing horror genre
“We, as human beings, get bored with monotonous things very easily and are always on the lookout for something new that will excite us. Similarly, I am always on the lookout for a good script. It could be anything that could excite me in a script. I have always wanted to do something different and Aake is all about that. My aim, in the end is to entertain people,” Yogish adds.
