Sandalwood actress Ramya Krishnan, who has worked in all four south film industries and Bollywood, is making her comeback in Mollywood after almost a decade. Ramya’s comeback Malayalam film is titled Driver on Duty, where she has been paired opposite actor Asif Ali. In the film, Ramya plays the role of a tough cop, who hates men. The movie will be directed by debutant director Manoj Palodan. This year Ramya was seen doing cameo roles in two Kannada films---
Chandra and
Sweety Nanna Jodi. In fact, the 46-year-old actress made her comeback to Sandalwood after almost a decade. Her last Kannada film was
Baa Baaro Rasika in 2004. Ramya made her Sandalwood debut opposite late Dr
Vishnuvardhan in
Krishna Rukmini way back in 1988. After her Sandalwood debut, the actress featured in 15 Kannada movies, where her fans appreciated her acting skills.
She has acted in over 200 films in five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. In 2003, she married Telugu film director,
Krishna Vamsi, after which she took a long break from acting.
