Always wanted to post a pic of myself sporting a six pack, says Shine Shetty
S hine Shetty started focusing on transforming his body as a way to kill time between projects. The actor, who has now shed 16 kilos, tells us, “As actors, at some point, we all want to sport washboard abs or a six pack. I think it is part of the profession we are in.” He smiles, “But it’s unreasonable to sport a six-pack throughout the year.” The actor confesses that he was always really keen to someday put up a picture of himself sporting a sixpack on social media “When a filmmaker goes through your profile, he must get easy access to all that you can be. You never know what role will come your way,” he shares.
‘The transformation fetched me two films'While the transformation was more of a personal choice, Shine says soon after his makeover, he signed two films. “In both movies I am required to sport a chiseled look. It was as if the universe secretly prepared me for these films. My physical transformation was a godsend and two great films happened to me,” he says.
‘Followed a strict regimen and lost 16 kilos’
“When I decided to transform myself, I was clear that I wouldn’t indulge in protein powders and that I would keep my diet fully natural. Which is why it took 11 months to achieve the look. From 83 kgs, I am now 67 kilos. I didn’t want to overdo the workout, so only exercised for two hours a day. I ate whole proteins and didn’t take artificial supplements,” Shine tells us.
