Ananya Bhat to play lead role in female-centric movie

Mysuru-based playback singer Ananya Bhat, who had played a cameo in Urvi, is all set to take on a full-fledged lead role for the first time in her career in the Kannada movie, Brahmaka. The film, helmed by Prajwal Shastry, has the tagline-The Missing Highway.
She says, “The role offers me plenty of scope for acting, so I immediately accepted it. But this doesn’t mean that I will concentrate only on acting; I will continue to act and sing.” Talking about the movie, she adds, “It is a suspense thriller movie that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.The movie deals with accidents that happen on highways. The project will be extensively shot on Bengaluru highways.” The film has Veena Balaji, Rohini Nagesh and Krishnaprasad in the supporting cast.
