Asha Bhonsle to croon a Kannada song

Asha Bhonsle will record a Kannada song after five years. She will sing a solo number for Aryan Pratap’s Sarangi, which stars Rakesh Adiga and Pallavi Nayak.
The song, composed by Mathews Manu, will be recorded by the end of this month. “I was supposed to sing earlier this week, but was down with the flu and will now be able to record it in a fortnight in Mumbai,” says the singer.When asked what made her say yes to the song, she says, “These days, I don’t OK too many songs. But I liked the melody of this particular one. Also, it helped that it is not an item number.”
She will soon start preparing for the song. “Picking up a Kannada number is difficult for me, as I don’t know the language. So I will start working on it soon.”
