Being Bhairava was Dhananjaya’s destiny

Dhananjaya picked the role since it is a heavily performance oriented one.
Being Bhairava was Dhananjaya’s destiny
After Tagaru, Dhananjaya was all set to work with director Suri again in Suri Popcorn Monkey Tiger. In the meantime, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) was getting ready for his next, Bhairava Geetha. When creative producer Bhaskar Rashi and RGV decided to collaborate on Bhairava Geetha, it was Bhaskar who suggested casting Dhananjaya.
“RGV had watched Tagaru and had already told me that he wanted to work with me.

He thought that I would be a good fit for Bhairava Geetha. Bhairava, as a character, is completely different from Dali (his character in Tagaru), and it is amazing that RGV could see me as a fit for this role after watching my previous film. There is a lot of scope for performance in this film, which is why I was immediately onboard,” says Dhananjaya.
But there was still the matter of Suri Popcorn Monkey Tiger, since Dhananjaya had already given his dates to that film. As luck would have it, there was some delay with the movie, which gave Dhananjaya some free time. Looks like it was in Dhananjaya’s destiny to be Bhairava.
