Bengaluru boy makes his presence felt in Hollywood

Indian talent is now a force to reckon with on the international podium and Bengaluru boy Varun Viswanath is now part of this bandwagon.
Based in Los Angeles, this film editor is also member of the prestigious Motion Pictures Editors Guild. More recently, Varun has been fetching acclaim for his editing skills in the crossover film Miss India America, which released on Netflix earlier this month.
"The film has drawn rave reviews because it is a female-driven cast and crew. It has also been written and produced by women and men are only in supporting roles. It is also one of the most successful crowdfunding campaigns for films as about $100,000 was raised within 30 days in mid-2013. Our film has won the Best Screenplay and Best Actress in a Comedy at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, the Jury Award at CAAMFest San Francisco, the Centerpiece Film at Newport Beach Film Festival and the Opening Night Film at the San Diego Asian Film Festival," shares Varun.
His upcoming films include Ava's Impossible Things, The Illegal and Messy. His roster also features assignments as the editor on two episodes of Arrested Development Season 4 for FOX, editor for Lady Gaga's choreographer ' Richy Jackson ' for all his promotional content and music videos and the editor for Academy Originals ' The Oscars' interview series with award-winning filmmakers among others.
