Celebrations in the Rajkumar household put on hold this birth anniversary

While today is late Rajkumar’s 85th birth anniverary, all celebrations in his household have been put on hold, as Shakuntala, wife of late S Bangarappa and mother-in-law of actor Shivarajkumar, passed away on Tuesday. In fact, the muhurat of Shivarajkumar’s next Mutthuraj, which was scheduled to be held today, has been postponed.
The family will just visit his samadhi at Kanteerava Studios and pay homage.There will, however, be events organized by the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and Karnataka goverment. Meanwhile, the late matinee idol’s Kasturi Nivasa, which was to have been re-released today, has also been delayed, as the post-production work has not been completed.
