City model bags film with Nakul

Bangalore gal Deepthii Mohan has been eyeing a film career for a while. And while the model has been shortlisted for an upcoming Yogaraj Bhat-production, Kshamisu, and has even attended acting workshops for the same, the production house is yet to make a formal announcement about the project and the characters. Even as she waits for that to firm up, Deepthii has already made a move across borders, by signing up for a film with Nakul (of Nakka Mukka fame).
“Called Narathan, the film will have Nakul and a Mumbai-based actress, besides myself. I play a very soft-spoken character called Bindu. The film is rather hero-centric, but will give both of us girls equal screen space,” she says.
So is she playing second fiddle in the film? “There is no such thing as lead or second lead. It’s more like a cocktail. But, I do get to romance Nakul,” says Deepthii.
Shooting for Narathan begins this week, with a week-long schedule in Bangalore.
