Darshan took time off from his hectic schedule to campaign for veteran actor
Ambareesh, who is contesting in the state assembly elections which will be held on May 5, on congress ticket from Mandya constituency.
Darshan, who has been supporting Ambareesh from a long time said, “More than the party,it is the individual who matters the most for me. I will also campaign for Anand Apugol (Producer of his film Krantiveera Sangolli Rayana, who is contesting on JD(s) ticket) and Aravind Limbavali, who is contesting on a BJP ticket from Mahadevapura constituency of Bangalore.
I will visit Mandya once again to campaign for Ambareesh,” he says. Incidentally, Darshan’s mother Meena Togudeepa is the president of the city women congress unit in Mysore.
Meanwhile, Darshan-starrer movie Bul Bul, directed by MD Sridhar, is up for release on May 10. The movie features
Rachita Ram and Ambareesh in lead roles. The film is the remake of the Telugu original Darling which featured
Prabhas and
Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles. Darshan may team up with Ambari-fame director A P Arjun later this year.
