Darshan's new film being shot at express speed

Darshan’s new film, Kranti, may well be called the Kranti Express at the rate at which shooting is on. With the Omicron variant and third wave scare, the team is working without many breaks.
"Since this is a film of such a magnitude, we have not been shooting at live locations. Instead, we have been building sets across Hyderabad and Bengaluru. We have been busy with the shoot and have completed around 30 per cent of it already," says Shylaja Nag, who is backing the film.

Since industries can work during weekends, the team sought permission to shoot during the weekend to ensure they complete the film quickly. "We are worried at the way the third wave is progressing, so we want to complete as much of the shoots in India as possible. We do plan to shoot abroad, which we will look at when the conditions are right," adds Shylaja.
Kranti is being directed by V Harikrishna, which makes it his second collaboration with Darshan after Yajamana. The film features Rachita Ram as the leading lady. There will be some additions to the cast, which the team will share as and when the members begin shooting.
