After last year's hit outing Sanju Weds Geetha, director Nagashekar is now directing Mynaa, a story based on a real-life incident, starring Nithya Menen and Chetan. The director, we now hear, is all set to release the film across the south, dubbing it in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. This, the team says, is because Nithya is popular across the south. A source close to the project tells us, 'Nithya is very popular in Tollywood and Mollywood.

While the makers had initially planned to release the film in Kannada and also have a dubbed version in Tamil, they are now going to release it in all four south languages.'
The source adds, 'The advantage that the makers have is that most of the cast members are known faces in all of these industries. If Sarath Kumar is well- known in Tamil, Suhasini and Malavika Avinash are popular across the south. Then there's Telugu actor Ajay, who plays the antagonist in the film.'
When contacted, director Nagashekar conceded that it was Nithya's popularity in Tollywood and Mollywood that got him thinking about dubbing the film into Telugu and Malayalam as well.
'We've made the film in Kannada, with the intention of having a Tamil dubbed version. But now, it will be dubbed in Telugu and Tamil as well. All versions will release simultaneously as Nithya is a popular face in the south. We also have an ensemble cast that is fairly familiar in these four states,' says the director and adds, 'While the film will be called Mynaa in Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam, it have a different title,
Purvi, in Tamil as a film called
Mynaa has already released there.'
