The cross-border exchange of talents seems to be the new mantra of south Indian film industries these days. Malayalam actor
Fahadh Faasil, who recently wrapped up shooting for pan-India Malayalam film Dhoomam, directed by Lucia Pawan Kumar, is all set to make his Kannada debut with Srimurali’s Bhageera.
According to sources close to the film, Fahadh will be seen in the role of a super cop associated with the CBI. Srimurali, too, is playing a cop in the film. Fahadh is likely to start shooting for the Kannada film from February. The high-octane action film, which is also a pan-India film, is being directed by Dr Suri, who had previously directed Lucky, starring rocking star
Yash. KGF director Prashant Neel has written the script for the film.
Fahadh had left the audience in awe with his fantastic performance in Kamal Hassan starrer Vikarm.
It can be recalled that Srimurali was recently injured on the sets of the film while shooting for an action sequence, following which he had to undergo a minor surgery. The actor has been advised 3 months of rest and he will start shooting only by the end of April.
The first look of the film, which was revealed recently, has garnered great response online. According to the team, over 50% of the film’s shoot is completed and Dr Suri is now looking at finishing other parts of the film, minus Srimurali, so that the actor can join later comfortably to shoot his scenes. The film has been extensively shot in Bengaluru and Mangaluru.
