Now, he has signed another new movie in Kannada, which is directed by debutant director Giri Krishna. Director Giri Krishan exclusively spoke to ETimes and said, “I always liked acting more than directing. During my acting days, I was not only involved in acting but also used to be involved with the direction team. Previously, I have worked with Rishab Shetty and their team, and it used to give me a lot of energy. Before ‘Kirik Party’, I have acted in many movies and worked with other directors and I felt very comfortable working with Rishab Shetty.”
“I have been doing short films, and we used to make good quality short films with our budget. We decided to make a big movie, with a low budget but I also had a dream of becoming an actor. However, after many attempts, I decided to become a director and started working on a good script. This was the time when I started working with ‘Kirik Party’, and I started getting a lot of good comments from Rishab Shetty and Rakshit Shetty about my short films. While I played a character in ‘Kirik Party’, after my shot, I would build my story for the new film. During this shooting, one day, I discussed the story with Rakshit Shetty, and he was very happy with the story which gave me a lot of confidence. Later, I narrated the story to Rishab Shetty and even he was happy and decided to make a movie with the script,” said Giri Krishna.
The team is currently busy with pre-production work and selecting the artists. “We are busy auditioning for the movie, but nothing has been finalized. We are also improvising the script. After the lockdown, when it is suitable for beginning the shoot, we will start shooting with Rishab Shetty,” said the debutant director Giri.
Rishab Shetty had played an entertaining role in ‘Bell Bottom’, which became the talk of the town in Kannada film industry because of its unique title. Now, even Giri Krishna’s movie has huge expectations.
