For actor
Vijay Suriya, his latest flick is rather special. And for two reasons. “One is because it’s my first film as a cop and the second reason, which is also close to my heart, is that my grandfather was a sub inspector. So my family somehow had this desire in them that I should join the IPS. I’m glad that even though I couldn’t become a cop and make this dream come true, I’m at least doing it on screen and giving them a feeler of what things would’ve been like had I become one,” smiles Vijay.
The untitled film has gone on floors today and
Vijay is much excited about being seen in uniform.
“I think somewhere inside every actor lurks a desire to portray a man in uniform on the big screen. There is an unexplained charm to it,” he tells us.
Directed by Samuel Tony, the movie is a crime thriller and will be entirely shot in Bengaluru. “When you think cop film, what immediately comes to mind is a Dabangg kind of entertainer. But this movie is not of that genre. It is completely screenplay oriented and has a serious tone,” shares Vijay.
Apoorva plays his leading lady in the movie.
Meanwhile, explaining his look in the film, Vijay adds that he has many scenes that see him in the field and those moments see him sporting civilian clothes.
