Getting to meet Rajinikanth is a dream come true for me: Niranjan Mukundan

Para swimmer Niranjan Mukundan’s dream came true when he and his family got to meet superstar Rajinikanth in Mysuru on June 25. “I’ve wanted to meet him for so long that I even made a video once expressing my love for him. It somehow reached him. He thought I was a Chennai boy and asked if I could meet him there, but when he learned I am from Bengaluru, he said he could meet me now since he’s shooting in Mysuru. The whole experience was surreal, and I couldn’t hold my tears back when I met him,” says Niranjan. “He spent about 30 minutes with us and showed genuine interest in my journey as a para swimmer. I gifted him a memorabilia that I made, along with the cap I wore when I bagged my 100th medal. Since he’s a very spiritual person, he called me God’s child and wished me the best for my future,” adds Niranjan.
