Godfather heroine Catherine to debut in Tamil films

Catherine Tresa, who made her acting debut with the Kannada film Shankar IPS opposite Duniya Vijay in 2010, will next be seen working with Karthi in the upcoming Tamil romantic-drama Kaali. This will be the first film that the actress will do in the Tamil film industry.
Catherine is riding high on the success of her latest Telugu film Iddarammayilatho, in which she was paired with Allu Arjun.The film did well at the BO and that is the reason why the makers of Kaali zeroed in on the pretty 23-year-old. Director Ranijith said that Catherine is currently undergoing a month-long training session, and the shoot of the film will begin once the training ends.
Catherine was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress – Kannada for her role in the 2012 film Godfather. Directed by Sethu Sriram, the film also starred Upendra and Soundarya Jayamala.
