I don't spew punchlines: Jai
For those who were wondering whats happening to actor Jai, heres some news. The actor has just signed a project with a giant Hollywood production house that has forayed into Kollywood in association with Ghajini director, Murugadoss. Yes, Im playing the lead role in the film, which will be directed by Saravanan, who was Murugadosss co-director in Ghajini.

Its a very interesting story in which I do not spew punch dialogues.
But, the incidents happening around me spread the message to the audience. The story is set in the backdrop of Trichy and Chennai and Vimal of Pasanga fame will share screen space with me. The hunt for the lead actress is on and once we have her on board, we will start rolling, which most likely will be in November, enthuses Jai.
And thats not all. The Vijay look-alike has also zeroed in on another project titled Vaalu. Its a very Jai-kind of film. As the title suggests, I play a vaalu (brat) in the film, which is a complete commercial pot-boiler. Its a potpourri of action, drama and comedy. Comedian Santhanam will give me company for the comedy track. The last time we worked together was in Vaamanan, and Im glad that we are going to bring the house down in Vaalu. Vijay Chandru will wield the megaphone for this venture, which is likely to begin in December.
So, how is Jai planning to shoot for both films simultaneously? Once I complete a schedule for Murugadosss film, I will start work on Vaalu. I will plan my schedules in a way that they do not affect the progress of both my films, he explains.
The actor is now eagerly waiting for the release of Kanimozhi, which has Shahzahn Padamsee in the lead. Its a beautiful tale of love. My character is something on the lines of Vijays character in his evergreen hit Kadhalukku Mariyadhai. The film is ready to release and may hit the screens in the near future. His other film Arjunanin Kadhali is also in its post-production stage.

With four films in his kitty, Jai must be a happy man. Absolutely! Simbu and I are working on a script that tells the tale of gangsters and we are soon planning to do a film together. And, if I find time, I might even assist Venkat Prabhu in Mankatha!
