Irrfan Khan watches Lucia

Pawan Kumar's Lucia has been creating a buzz and how! While first it was the crowd-funding concept that caught the attention, now it's the turn of Lucia's premiere at the London Indian Film Festival (LIFF). Being a first for a Kannada film, Lucia's recent premiere at London seemed to have found audiences abroad as well.
And that's not all! Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan recently watched the film and is all praise of Lucia. Director Pawan Kumar, who met the actor at LIFF, gave him the audio CD and asked him to listen to the songs. Impressed by the songs, Irrfan wanted to watch the film and is quite impressed with the film. A video uploaded by the director has Irrfan saying, "Pawan gave me the audio CD and I heard the songs. It was very catchy and hurried him to meet me in Mumbai. I saw the film and I am quite impressed with it. It has a very interesting plot and has earnest performances by the lead actors. I wish Pawan all luck and congratulate the investors for having faith in the director. The film is very well-made."
Lucia has Sathish Neenasam and Shruti Hariharan in lead roles. Sathish posted on Facebook saying, "Lucia film nodi irfan khan enandru nodi......." While Rakshit Shetty said, "Awesome job Pawan. Really proud of u and thanks for taking our film international. I hope many more will join you to take it further and our industry reaches new heights." Pawan who posted the video, added, "Listen to the good news from the Man himself."
Lucia, which was premiered on July 20, along with Bollywood movies such as Monsoon Shootout and Bombay Talkies, won the Best Film Audience Award 2013. With audiences abroad raving about the film, people in the state are eagerly waiting for the film's release in India.
