Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa arrested in connection with murder case

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was taken into custody on Tuesday, (June 11), in connection with a murder case. The arrest took place at his farmhouse in Mysuru, and he is currently being transported to Bengaluru by the jurisdictional police. The murder allegedly occurred in the Kamakshipalya area of Bengaluru.

According to reports, Darshan has been accused of orchestrating the murder of Renukaswamy, a resident of Chitradurga. The motive behind this act is reportedly tied to derogatory messages that the victim had sent to Darshan's co-actress, Pavithra Gowda. These messages seem to have provoked the actor, leading to the tragic incident.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), S Girish, confirmed to Deccan Herald about the arrest and shared that ten other individuals have also been detained in connection with the case. These suspects are currently undergoing interrogation as the police try to piece together the events leading to the murder. While the authorities are tight-lipped about further details, the investigation is expected to shed more light on this high-profile case soon.

Renukaswamy's body was discovered recently in Kamakshipalya, a locality in western Bengaluru. The body bore multiple injury marks, including on the head, indicating a violent struggle before his death. This discovery prompted the police to launch a thorough investigation, eventually leading them to Darshan and his associates.
